Saint Joseph

Ad te Beate Joseph

Prayer to St. Joseph to be Added to the Rosary in October

To thee, O blessed Joseph, do we fly in our tribulation, and having implored the help of thy thrice-holy Spouse, we now also confidently seek thy protection. By that charity which united thee to the immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by that fatherly love for the Child Jesus, we humbly beg thee to look graciously upon the inheritance which Jesus Christ hath purchased with His Blood, and in our need to help us by thy powerful intercession. Do thou, O prudent guardian of the Holy Family, watch over the chosen people of Jesus Christ. Keep us, O most loving father, from all blight of error and corruption. O most mighty protector from thy place in Heaven, graciously help us in this our conflict with the powers of darkness. And as of old, thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the supreme peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Extend to each one of us thy continual protection, that led on by thine example and strengthened by thine aid, we may lead a holy life, and die in holiness, and obtain everlasting happiness in Heaven. Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary

Consecration of a Family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Mary, Virgin Most Powerful and Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Refuge of Sinners, we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart.
We consecrate our being and our lives, all that we have, all that we love, all that we are. To you we give our bodies, our hearts and our souls; to you we give our homes, our families, our country. We desire that everything in us, everything around us, belong to you and share in the benefits of your motherly benediction. To make this act of consecration purposeful and lasting, we renew this day at your feet the promises of our Baptism and first Holy Communion. We pledge ourselves to speak out, bravely and at all times, for the truths of our Faith, and to live as Catholics should, in obedience to the Pope and to the bishops in union with him. We pledge ourselves to keep the commandments of God and of His Church – in particular, to keep holy the Lord’s Day. We likewise pledge our best to make the practices of the Christian religion, especially Holy Communion, an integral part of our lives. Finally, we promise, O glorious Mother of God and loving Mother of men, our heartiest efforts to rouse in others devotion to you; so as to hasten and assure, through the Queenship of your Immaculate Heart, the coming of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart of your adorable Son – in our own hearts and in the hearts of all men – in our own country and in all the world – as in heaven, so on earth. Amen.

The Angelus

Hail Mary ...

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
For the Lord is truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray: O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
